Day 8 of Me and White Supremacy and that's enough

The ocean of stupid is not an ocean that’s worth swimming across or trying to plumb its depth. Me And White Supremacy by Layla Saad is an ocean of stupid; not because its a particularly big book or deep book. Saad’s book is quite shallow and would only beguile the least critical of thinkers. That’s the paradox of the ocean of stupid - it isn’t big and it isn’t deep - and only the narrowest of minds swim in it.

Layla Saad has done what few have accomplished with me - she has made me a quitter. I quit her book. I’m not angry or ashamed about that. Sometimes it’s good to be a quitter. It was good when I quit smoking - my physical health improved and it was good when I quit Layla Saad’s stupid book - my mental health improved.

The ocean of stupid is just not for me!
